RIP David Dreyer
Dave Dreyer, local jazz vocalist, guitarist, and flutist, has reportedly passed away.Dave had been a fixture on the local music scene for the last 30+ years (e.g., as long as I can remember). It seems to me I recall someone telling me that he had been the first performer at Nature's Table.
He had been the vocalist for the Pocket Big Band for several years, comprising all of the performances at the old Blind Pig (now Cowboy Monkey) and High Dive when the band was performing monthly.
Dave's myspace.com page has some samples of his music from his CD project:

To everyone,
I was what I would like to say a good friend to Dave. I spent many a day hunting and fishing with Dave, and sat many nights listening to Dave and his band the sharpshooters, Pocket big band ect...
Lets just say that I am a better person for knowing Dave. He taught me a lot about music. Even more about life...
You will be missed but never forgotten
